UCLI is excited to highlight a former UCLI Pre-Law Fellow and Ambassador and an incoming law student to Howard University: James Cardon Leota.

James states, “UCLI has been instrumental in helping me see law school not just as an individual goal, but as part of a larger commitment to justice, equity, and community impact. Through UCLI’s support, mentorship, and encouragement, I have felt more prepared, more connected, and more confident in my ability to enter the legal profession with purpose. As a first-generation student pursuing law, UCLI helped make the path feel more visible and attainable.”
