The Utah Center for Legal Inclusion’s mission of achieving real impact for students on their journey to and through legal education has never felt more vital. Under the theme “Building Impact Together,” the 2026 Fundraiser Luncheon will focus on collective efforts that create meaningful and lasting impact within Utah’s legal profession, including leadership development initiatives, mentoring programs, and opportunities that promote access. Building impact together for the rising generation of legal professionals in the state is essential as we strive to nurture talent, foster inclusivity, and strengthen the legal community for years to come.

UCLI is honored to welcome Dr. Susan Madsen and Nubia Peña as speakers at this year’s event. Dr. Madsen is a globally recognized thought leader on leadership and gender equity, the Founding Director of the Utah Women & Leadership Project, and Extension Professor of Leadership at Utah State University, where her work focuses on strengthening the impact of girls and women through research, events, and leadership initiatives that elevate voices across Utah and beyond. Nubia Peña is a nationally recognized advocate, attorney, and public servant who has served in state leadership roles promoting opportunity, led efforts to develop the Utah Thriving framework for improving service delivery, and spent her career advancing justice for marginalized communities informed by her legal background and lived experience as an immigrant. We look forward to hearing both presenters address the topics of impact and leadership in the state.

 

Each luncheon sponsorship comes with admittance to the Fundraiser Luncheon and silent auction, a three-course meal catered by Marriott City Creek, and a keynote address. This event has been approved for 1 Professionalism & Civility CLE credit
