Many children begin to pick their potential future careers as early as elementary school. Career paths often do not seem viable if you have never met anyone who has a particular job. For this reason many stakeholders from across the Utah legal community have made it a priority to connect with Utah K-12 students to encourage them to consider careers across the legal profession. UCLI supports the efforts of the Utah State Courts Office of Fairness and Accountability and the Utah State Bar’s Committee on Early Diversity Outreach to get attorneys and judges into classrooms throughout Utah. These visits provide opportunities for students to hear attorneys’ stories about their educational and career journeys. It also provides practitioners a chance to answer questions and provide encouragement to students to pursue their higher education and career goals.
