Join us for the 2023 UCLI Pre-law Symposium. This annual event is for any interested pre-law individuals, and particularly those from historically underrepresented groups. The symposium provides the chance to gain information and perspective about the process of applying to law school, the law school experience and some things to expect from a career practicing law in Utah. A photographer will be on site to provide free professional headshots for those who are interested. This year’s keynote address will be given by Trina Higgins, the current US Attorney for the State of Utah. Trina is the first woman to be appointed to her position in Utah. She is also a Weber State and SJ Quinney College of Law alum.
When: Friday, October 20, 2023 from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. Registration begins at 9:15 am.

Parking: Parking is available on a first-come first-serve basis in the large lot south of the law building next to Rice Eccles Stadium.
Public Transportation: As parking will be limited we encourage all to consider public transportation options to get to the law school. The UTA Trax Red Line stops in front of Rice Eccles Stadium just south of the law school. The Red Line runs from Daybreak on the west, up through the heart of Salt Lake County, and then east through the heart of Salt Lake City to the University of Utah campus. There are parking lots at each Trax station throughout Salt Lake County.
The UTA Frontrunner is also an option. If riding Frontrunner from the north, exit at the Salt Lake Central Station, take the Trax Blue Line to the Courthouse Station, and then exit and transfer to the Red Line going north which will take you to the school. If coming from the south, board Frontrunner at any stop, ride to the Murray Central Station, exit the train and head east across the parking lot to the Trax platform, take the northbound Trax Red Line train which will take you to the Stadium stop. Purchasing a ticket for Frontrunner will cover the price of other trains and buses you need to transfer to.
