Kristen Olsen is an associate with Dorsey & Whitney’s trial group, and she enjoys providing pro bono legal services in the areas of political asylum, religious freedom, and nonprofit governance. Before becoming a lawyer, Kristen helped prosecute war crimes at the United Nations International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda, studied international law at Central European University in Budapest, earned a master’s degree in second language teaching, taught English at Utah State University, and studied and worked abroad in China, Jerusalem, Costa Rica, Korea, Tanzania, and Hungary. Kristen serves on the executive committee of the Salt Lake County Bar Association, the Utah Bar’s summer convention review committee, and the board of HemoHelper, a 501(c)(3) organization.
