Professor Núñez researches and writes about immigration and alienage law, with a specific emphasis on undocumented immigrants. Professor Núñez’s recent publication, Mapping Citizenship: Status, Membership, and the Path in Between, published in the Utah Law Review, discusses the distribution of citizenship to individuals on unequal terms and unravels the paradox of unequal citizenship rules resulting in equal citizenship. Professor Núñez’s other publications explore the meaning of membership and the waning importance of presence within United States territory as a guarantee of membership benefits.
