
Carol Barlow Lear began her education/legal career as a graduate of the University of Utah with a BA in English; she taught high school for five years and then attended and graduated from the S. J. Quinney College of Law. Carol worked for the Utah State Office of Education as the Director of School Law for 25 years and retired in 2014. She also earned an administrative/supervisory education license from Utah State University and was an adjunct professor in the graduate Education Department for 20 years. She now practices education law at Lear and Lear and was recently elected to the State Board of Education from District 7.
