The Utah Center for Legal Inclusion (UCLI), Intermountain Health, and Kirton McConkie have collaborated to create the Utah Legal Inclusion Fellowship, providing select law students the unique opportunity for a paid summer internship and a substantial scholarship. In 2024, the fellowship will be granted to two law students, one from each school, the J. Reuben Clark Law School at BYU and the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah. The fellowship will play a significant role in UCLI’s efforts to empower students from all backgrounds to thrive in the legal profession by developing professional skills, exploring career options, and receiving financial support.

The fellowship will include the following:
● A $10,000 tuition scholarship funded by Intermountain Health;
● An 11-week paid summer internship with Kirton McConkie beginning May 2024; and
● As part of the paid Kirton McConkie internship, an opportunity to support on Intermountain Health matters and work directly with in-house legal counsel.

All eligible students are welcome to apply. UCLI especially encourages those from different backgrounds to apply, including but not limited to students of color, female students, LGBTQ+ students, students with disabilities, veterans, and first-generation college and law school students, and low-income students.

● Be a current member of a law school diversity organization; and have outstanding tuition needs for the 2024-2025 or 2025-2026 school years equal to or greater than $10,000.
