Assistant Attorney General – Medicaid Fraud Control Unit

The Utah Office of Attorney General, Medicaid Fraud Control Unit, has an immediate opening for an
attorney experienced in criminal litigation. The Medicaid Fraud Control Unit investigates and
prosecutes fraud in the provision of Medicaid Services. The Unit also investigates and prosecutes
cases statewide involving abuse, neglect, or exploitation of vulnerable individuals and Medicaid
recipients. The focus of this position is criminal prosecution, but candidates will also work on civil
cases.

The successful candidate may be asked to become cross designated as a Special Assistant United
States Attorney and assist with joint state and federal cases. Three years prior criminal litigation
experience is required and civil litigation experience is beneficial. Prior experience in the health care
industry is also preferred. Membership in good standing with the Utah State Bar is required.
