Assistant Attorney General – Justice – Internet Crimes Against Children

The Justice Division of the Utah Attorney General’s Office has an immediate opening for an
experienced prosecuting attorney in the Family Justice Section, Internet Crimes Against Children
unit. We’re looking for prosecutors who want to protect children and make a difference.
The Internet Crimes Against Children prosecution unit handles cases involving child pornography,
enticement of a minor, dealing in material harmful to a minor, and other sexual offenses against
children. This position requires exposure to police reports containing graphic sexual content and
child pornography images. The attorney selected for this position may have the opportunity to
prosecute federal cases as a Special Assistant United States Attorney.

There is a strong preference for applicants with a minimum of 3 years of prosecution experience.
Applicants should clearly describe their criminal law and jury trial experience in their cover letter.
This position requires excellent written and oral advocacy skills and the ability to try both jury and
bench trials.
